This is Dulquer's pan-Indian love poem, 'Sita Rama'.
Sita Rama is a film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi starring Dulquer Salmaan. Set in the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pak war, the film's cinematography is by Shreyas Krishna and PS Vinod.
Dulquer plays the role of Lt. Ram while Mrinal Thakur plays the female lead. Mrinal's character's name is Sita. Along with them, Rashmika Mandana also comes in the role of Afreen. 'Seetha Ram' is Dulquer's second Telugu film. When 'Sita Ram' hit the theatres, the biggest attraction for Malayalis was the DQ factor itself. The promotion introduced the film as a love story set in the 1965s. The theater view of 'Sita Rama' means that a beautiful love poem has been presented. The story of 'Sita Rama' is told through 'Afreeni', a Pakistani girl studying in London. 'Afreen's grandfather was a Pakistani army major. A letter was written by 'Lt. Ram in 1965 is assigned by 'Afreen's grandfather for a specific reason to deliver to 'Miss Seethalakshmi' in 1985. Although it focuses on the romance of the title characters, it develops into a multi-layered film. The search for 'Seethalakshmi' whom no one knows leads 'Afreen' to look for 'Rami' who was a lieutenant in the Madras Regiment. The audience gets to know who 'Rame' and 'Sita' are through 'Afree's investigation. This is how the love story of 'Ram' and 'Sita Mahalakshmi' unfolds. Although the narrative of 'Sita Rama' centers around the romance of the titular characters, it develops into a multi-layered film.
